Farmers' Market FAQ
jQuery UI Accordion - Default functionality Who is operating and managing this farmers' market?
Creative Cooperative by Foodie Village Farmers' Market
What do I need to participate as a Certified Grower?
All certified growers must submit their application their CPC number. If you are planning on selling organic products, we will also need the certified organic number and the issuing county. You will then need to get an agricultural permit from the issuing county to sell at the market.
I am interested in selling produce but I am not a certified grower, can I still sell at the market?
NO. CCFVMF operates Certified Growers' Markets only. All produce needs to be certified by the California Department of Agriculture in order to be sold at a Certified Growers' Market.
What do I need to become a Prepared Food vendor?
All Gourmet Food Vendors need to make their products in commercial kitchens (with exception of cottage food industry or kitchen vendors). You will then need to get a health permit to sell at the market from the issuing county.
Are Cottage Food Industry or Kitchen Foods Allowed?
Yes, CCFVMF follows the California state guidelines for all cottage kitchen foods and works with the specific issuing counties for all markets.
What will I need to bring with me?
You will need your own tent, table, furniture, safety equipment, and signage as well as any other permits you need to have to sell at the market. Also you must provide a scale that has been certified by the agricultural department in this County. Also any decor or ambiance must be approved by CCFVMF prior to Market Day.
How often do I need to attend?
CCFVFM requires a cancelation notice of at least 72 hours prior to the start of a market. Failure to notify can result in a penalty for the missed market due and payable at the next attended market. Please call your market manager.
What about rain or bad weather?
We operate in rain or shine conditions. Foodie Ventures Management is the sole decider to cancel the market due to bad weather and will notify all vendors of a cancellation.
